Blood molecule may reveal muscle disease severity
NCT ID NCT07415837
First seen Mar 01, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 7 times
Summary
This study is looking at whether a molecule in the blood called miR-1 can be used as a marker to track how muscle diseases like Duchenne muscular dystrophy and myotonic dystrophy progress. Researchers will compare miR-1 levels in 104 people, including healthy volunteers and patients with different muscle conditions. The goal is to see if miR-1 levels match the severity of the disease, which could lead to a simple blood test for monitoring.
