Common antibiotic tested as Brain-Saver after stroke

NCT ID NCT06107725

Summary

This study tested whether adding an oral antibiotic called minocycline to standard stroke care could help patients recover better and reduce deaths. It aimed to enroll over 1,100 adults who had just had a stroke, giving half the drug for five days starting within 24 hours of their symptoms. The trial was terminated early after enrolling only 2 people, so no results are available.
