NCT ID NCT02133872
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 26 times
Summary
This study tested whether minocycline, an inexpensive antibiotic, can lower blood pressure in people whose hypertension does not respond to standard medications. Researchers gave 34 adults with resistant hypertension low or high doses of minocycline to see if it reduced daytime blood pressure. The goal was to find a new, drug-based option for a condition that often requires invasive procedures like renal denervation.
