Summary
This study tested whether minocycline, an antibiotic, could reduce the frequency and intensity of intrusive memories in people with PTSD or cocaine use disorder. 138 adults participated, and researchers measured changes in memory-related brain activity and self-reported distress. The goal was to see if blocking a specific enzyme could weaken the reconsolidation of traumatic or drug-linked memories.
