First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated Apr 29, 2026 · Updated 24 times
Summary
This study aimed to see if the antibiotic minocycline could help people recover from a stroke and reduce death risk. It planned to enroll many adults with acute stroke, giving some the drug for five days plus standard care, and others standard care alone. However, the study was stopped early after only 2 participants joined, so no meaningful results were obtained.
