First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated Jun 15, 2026 · Updated 32 times

Summary

This study aimed to see if the antibiotic minocycline could help people recover from a stroke and lower the risk of death. Participants were randomly assigned to take minocycline pills for five days plus standard care, or standard care alone. The study was terminated early after enrolling only 2 participants, so no meaningful conclusions can be drawn.
