Blood test may spot returning colorectal cancer earlier
NCT ID NCT04739072
First seen Nov 14, 2025 · Last updated Jun 18, 2026 · Updated 23 times
Summary
This study is testing if a simple blood test can find tiny bits of tumor DNA left after treatment, which might help doctors know if colorectal cancer will return sooner than current methods. About 1,000 people with colorectal cancer who have finished or are about to start treatment will give blood samples over time. The goal is to see if these DNA signals can predict recurrence and improve follow-up care.
