Smaller incision for kidney stone surgery? study compares two techniques

NCT ID NCT04069013

Summary

This study compared two surgical methods for removing kidney stones: the standard procedure (PCNL) and a newer 'mini' version with a smaller incision. Researchers wanted to see if the smaller approach reduced blood loss and improved recovery. The trial involved 18 adults with medium-sized kidney stones who were randomly assigned to receive one of the two surgeries.
