Mindfulness may ease childbirth fear in First-Time moms

Summary

This study looks at whether a mindfulness-based self-compassion program can help first-time pregnant women feel less fear about childbirth, reduce pregnancy stress, and increase comfort. About 80 women who are 28 weeks or further along in their first pregnancy will take part. The training focuses on being kind to oneself and staying present, which may improve the pregnancy experience.
