Can a culturally tailored mindfulness program ease the double burden of pain and depression?
NCT ID NCT07118722
Summary
This pilot study is testing a mindfulness-based therapy program specifically adapted for older Black adults who experience both chronic pain and mild depression. Researchers want to see if this culturally tailored program is practical and acceptable to participants, and if it can improve quality of life and reduce how much pain interferes with daily activities. The study will enroll 60 people to compare this new mindfulness program against a standard health education program.
