First seen Jan 09, 2026 · Last updated Jun 18, 2026 · Updated 32 times
Summary
This study explores whether a few phone-based mindfulness sessions before spine surgery can help people who worry a lot about pain. Researchers will first adapt the therapy with a small group, then test it in 20 people scheduled for surgery. The goal is to see if it's practical and if it improves pain and satisfaction after the operation.
