Mindfulness therapy tailored for black seniors aims to ease pain and lift mood
NCT ID NCT07118722
Summary
This pilot study is testing a culturally adapted mindfulness program called 'Quiet Focus' for older Black adults who experience both chronic pain and depression. The research aims to see if this tailored therapy is a practical and acceptable approach for this community. The main goal is to gather information to design a larger future trial that will measure if the program improves quality of life and reduces pain more than a standard wellness program.
