New device combines brain zaps and mindfulness to fight depression

Summary

This study tests a device that delivers mild electrical stimulation to the brain (tDCS) while people practice mindfulness, all done remotely via video calls. The goal is to see if this combination can reduce depression symptoms in 25 adults with major depressive disorder. Participants will be randomly assigned to receive either real or sham (fake) treatment to measure effectiveness.
