Can mindfulness ease pain and depression in older black adults?

Summary

This study tests a specially adapted mindfulness program for older Black adults (age 50+) who have both chronic pain and mild to moderate depression. The goal is to see if this approach can improve quality of life and reduce how much pain interferes with daily activities, compared to a standard health education program. About 60 participants will be enrolled to help design a larger future study.
