Can calming the mind boost breastmilk for tiny NICU babies?
NCT ID NCT07351799
Summary
This Mayo Clinic study is exploring whether teaching mindfulness and meditation techniques to mothers can help them while they pump breastmilk for their premature babies in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). Researchers will measure if these relaxation practices are linked to changes in the amount of breastmilk produced and in mothers' stress and bonding hormones. The study aims to gather knowledge to potentially support future NICU families.
