Mind-Reading chips aim to give voice and control to the paralyzed

NCT ID NCT05936619

Summary

This study is testing a new brain-computer interface called MindEx, which uses four tiny implanted chips to help people with severe paralysis control a computer or tablet with their thoughts. The goal is to see if this system is safe and can help users perform tasks like typing, drawing, or playing games to improve their independence and quality of life. Two participants will have the device implanted and be followed for up to six years.
