NCT ID NCT07438912
First seen Feb 28, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 12 times
Summary
This study looks at whether being awake during the late-night hours (2:00-4:00 AM) makes people feel more hopeless, have worse decision-making, and experience more suicidal thoughts. Adults who have had suicidal thoughts in the past six months will be tested in a lab and at home under different sleep conditions. The goal is to understand why nighttime wakefulness might increase suicide risk.
