New migraine pill aims to stop pain in 2 hours – major trial underway

Summary
This study tests a new drug, elismetrep, to see if it can quickly stop migraine pain and bothersome symptoms like nausea or light sensitivity. About 1800 adults with frequent migraines will receive either the drug or a placebo. The main goal is to measure how many people are pain-free within 2 hours of taking the medication.
