Brain artery 'Plug' tested as last hope for debilitating migraines

NCT ID NCT07223008

Summary

This small, early-stage study is testing the safety of a procedure that blocks arteries in the head to see if it can help people with severe, untreatable chronic migraines. Researchers will perform the procedure on 13 adults whose migraines have not improved with standard medications. The main goal is to see if the procedure is safe and doable, not to prove it works, and participants will be closely monitored for serious side effects like stroke.
