Summary

This study tested whether giving midazolam, a sedative, before breast conservation surgery reduces anxiety and improves satisfaction. 124 women were randomly assigned to receive either midazolam or a placebo. Their anxiety was measured before and after the drug, and satisfaction was checked the next day.
