Scientists hunt for plastic in sick Kids' bodies
NCT ID NCT07141238
Summary
This study aims to find out if tiny plastic particles are present in children's bodies and if they are more common in kids with inflammatory bowel diseases like Crohn's or colitis. Researchers will analyze tissue, stool, blood, and urine samples from 40 children already scheduled for a routine endoscopy. The goal is to gather knowledge, not to provide any treatment.
