New supplement trial aims to fight chemo fatigue in breast cancer patients
NCT ID NCT06137833
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study tests whether a daily supplement called APPORTAL® can reduce fatigue in breast cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy. The supplement contains a mix of vitamins, minerals, and other nutrients. 92 women will take either the supplement or a placebo for 8 weeks, alongside standard exercise recommendations. Researchers will measure changes in fatigue, muscle strength, and quality of life.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
- Active substance
- APPORTAL® (a dietary supplement containing vitamins, minerals, L-arginine, L-carnitine, coenzyme Q10, and other nutrients)
- What this could lead to
- If it works, this could offer a safe, non-drug way to reduce fatigue and improve quality of life for breast cancer patients during chemotherapy.
- What could go wrong
- This is a small, early-stage trial (92 people) testing a supplement, not a drug. The placebo effect is common in fatigue studies, and results may not apply to all cancer types or treatments.
