NCT ID NCT07193706

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 28 times

Summary

This study tested whether doing shorter, more frequent plyometric exercises (about 20 minutes, 3-4 times a week) works as well as traditional longer sessions (about 40 minutes, twice a week) for improving speed and jumping ability in elite under-19 soccer players during pre-season. Twenty-four players completed an 8-week program, and researchers measured their sprint times, jump heights, and change-of-direction speed. The goal is to help coaches decide if micro-dosed training is a practical alternative when time is limited.
