First seen Jan 06, 2026 · Last updated Jun 09, 2026 · Updated 33 times
Summary
This study tests whether mobile health support (like text messages) and financial incentives can help older, low-income smokers in Hong Kong quit. About 1200 smokers aged 60 and above will be randomly assigned to receive one or both supports. Success is measured by breath and saliva tests to confirm they have stopped smoking.
