NCT ID NCT05291104

First seen Apr 17, 2026 · Last updated May 07, 2026 · Updated 4 times

Summary

This study looked at whether changing the amount of methyl donor nutrients (like folate and choline) in the diet could help people with non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD). 51 adults with low levels of these nutrients were enrolled. Researchers measured liver fat, body fat, and blood markers to see if the dietary adjustment improved liver health and reduced disease progression. The goal was to find a simple dietary way to manage NAFLD.
