New pain strategy may improve recovery after brain surgery

Summary
This study tests whether a single dose of methadone given during brain surgery can control pain and improve recovery better than the standard drug remifentanil. About 40 adults having elective brain surgery will take part. The goal is to see if methadone leads to less pain and opioid use in the first few days after surgery.
