Scientists probe hidden health risks of everyday metal exposure
NCT ID NCT06529913
Summary
This study aims to understand how exposure to heavy metals and tiny particles (nanoparticles) in the environment contributes to skin and body-wide allergic reactions. Researchers will compare 280 adults, including people with metal allergies and healthy volunteers, by measuring metals in their blood and urine, testing skin reactions, and checking for signs of body-wide stress. The goal is to find clues that might explain why some people develop these allergies while others do not.
