Rare disease study probes hidden fat problems in vEDS patients

NCT ID NCT07516496

First seen Apr 11, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 6 times

Summary

This study looks at whether people with vascular Ehlers-Danlos syndrome (vEDS) have trouble storing and using fat, which could raise their risk for diabetes and heart disease. Researchers will compare 12-17 adults with vEDS to similar people without the condition using body scans, blood tests, and a sugar-drink test. The goal is to better understand how vEDS affects fat tissue and overall health.
