NCT ID NCT05139420

First seen Jan 28, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 24 times

Summary

This study looks for biological markers that may explain why some people experience a larger-than-expected drop in their resting metabolism when they lose weight. Researchers will follow 60 adults with obesity for 18 months, measuring metabolism and hormone levels. The goal is to better understand who is at risk for this metabolic slowdown, not to test a treatment.
