Summary

This trial tests whether a short, four-session therapy called Moving to Emptiness Technique (MET) can reduce compassion fatigue in counsellors. MET blends traditional Chinese ideas about inner peace with body relaxation and cognitive behavioural therapy. Sixty counsellors in China who have experienced compassion fatigue will either receive MET immediately or join a waitlist, and all will fill out questionnaires before, right after, and one month after the sessions.
