Breast reconstruction mesh under scrutiny: new trial aims to settle safety debate

Summary

This study looks at whether using surgical mesh during breast reconstruction after mastectomy is safe and helpful. About 120 women will be randomly assigned to receive reconstruction with or without mesh. The goal is to compare complication rates and patient satisfaction to guide better care.
