First seen Jan 09, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 22 times
Summary
This study tested a simple online exercise for people with high social anxiety. After learning about anxiety, some participants imagined approaching a feared social situation, while others did not. The goal was to see if mental imagery could increase motivation and help people actually face their fears in real life. The study involved 136 adults and measured their feelings and actions one week later.
