First seen Apr 30, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 4 times

Summary

This study looks at whether a single dose of cannabidiol (CBD) can help college students with social anxiety unlearn fear more quickly. About 160 participants will first learn to fear a face paired with a mild wrist shock, then receive either CBD or a placebo. Researchers will measure how fast their fear fades using sweat response and self-reported fear ratings.
