Groundbreaking study asks: are clinical trials testing drugs on the wrong people?
NCT ID NCT07398365
Summary
This study aims to create a detailed health profile of 100 adults admitted to a general psychiatric hospital. Researchers will use questionnaires and medical records to measure the severity of mental illness, physical health problems, and treatment history. The goal is to see how these 'real-world' patients differ from those who typically join clinical trials, which may explain why some promising trial results don't lead to effective new treatments.
