Scientists hunt for brain fog clues in Graves' disease
NCT ID NCT05678374
Summary
This study aims to understand why some people continue to experience mental fatigue and 'brain fog' even after their Graves' disease thyroid levels are successfully treated. Researchers will compare blood and spinal fluid from 180 people—including Graves' patients with and without fatigue, and healthy individuals—to look for differences in immune system markers. The goal is to identify potential biological causes for this persistent fatigue to guide future research.
