NCT ID NCT07638085
First seen Jun 26, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study will check if menstrual blood can give the same health information as regular blood tests, uterine biopsies, and vaginal swabs. One hundred menstruating women aged 18 and over will provide samples during their period. The goal is to see if menstrual blood is a useful, less invasive tool for future fertility and women's health research.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
What this could lead to
If successful, this could show that menstrual blood is a useful tool for future fertility and women's health research, potentially reducing the need for invasive procedures.
What could go wrong
This is an early observational study with only 100 participants, and it is not designed to provide direct medical benefits or individual results. The findings may not apply to all women or lead to immediate clinical changes.
