New drug combo aims to stop leukemia relapse after transplant

NCT ID NCT07559695

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study looks at whether menin inhibitors can help prevent leukemia from coming back in patients who have had a stem cell transplant. About 20 adults with certain genetic types of acute leukemia will take these drugs as maintenance therapy. Researchers will track how many patients stay relapse-free for two years and monitor for side effects.

What this could mean

Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.

Active substance

menin inhibitors (e.g., Revumenib, BN104, Ziftomenib, HMPL-506)

What this could lead to

If successful, this could point toward a way to keep leukemia from coming back after a stem cell transplant, potentially improving long-term survival.

What could go wrong

This is a small, early real-world study with only 20 participants, so results may not apply broadly. The drugs may cause side effects or fail to prevent relapse.
