Blood test may spot kidney cancer return before scans do
NCT ID NCT05917106
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study looks at whether a simple blood test that finds bits of tumor DNA can help doctors monitor kidney cancer after surgery. Researchers will follow 450 people who have just been diagnosed with kidney cancer and are having surgery to remove it. The goal is to see if the blood test can predict cancer coming back earlier than standard imaging scans.
