New eye injection could boost treatment for childhood eye cancer

Summary
This study tests if adding a chemotherapy drug called melphalan directly into the eye can help treat a childhood eye cancer called retinoblastoma, especially when cancer cells are floating in the eye's jelly-like fluid (vitreous seeds). About 26 children with newly diagnosed retinoblastoma will receive standard chemo plus these eye injections. The goal is to see if this combination is safe and works better than standard chemo alone.
