First seen May 09, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study tests whether giving a single dose of methadone at the start of surgery can provide better pain relief and faster recovery compared to standard short-acting opioids. About 400 adults having intermediate-risk noncardiac surgery will take part. The main goal is to see if patients feel better the day after surgery.
