Melatonin may fix sleep and blood pressure in sleep apnea patients

Summary

This study tests whether taking 3 mg of melatonin before bed for 30 days can help adults with obstructive sleep apnea and insomnia sleep more soundly and restore a healthy nighttime blood pressure dip. Researchers will measure changes in wake time after sleep onset and blood pressure patterns. The trial involves 50 participants who are not using sleep medications or breathing machines.
