First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study tests whether a 90-day Mediterranean diet can lower drug cravings and improve blood health in people being treated for opioid addiction with methadone or buprenorphine. Forty adults will either follow the diet or eat as usual. The goal is to see if better nutrition can support recovery and reduce the urge to use opioids.
