Brain-Sensing headband tested to ease cancer Survivors' anxiety
NCT ID NCT06274034
First seen Jun 24, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This pilot study tests whether a wearable EEG headband (MUSE-S) that guides meditation can help breast cancer survivors who struggle with anxiety and insomnia. Twenty participants will use the headband at home, and researchers will track how often they use it and whether it improves sleep, quality of life, and anxiety. The goal is to see if this approach is feasible and worth studying further.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.

MUSE-S headband (wearable EEG device for guided meditation)
What this could lead to
If it works, this could offer a non-drug tool to help breast cancer survivors manage anxiety and sleep problems.
What could go wrong
This is a very small, early pilot study with only 20 people. It focuses on feasibility, not proof of effectiveness, so results may not be conclusive.
