First seen Jan 05, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 15 times

Summary

This study tests whether a single dose of MDMA (the drug in ecstasy) can make a two-week intensive exposure therapy more effective for adults with PTSD. About 200 participants will receive either MDMA or a placebo during therapy, and their PTSD symptoms will be measured one month later. The goal is to see if the combination leads to faster and longer-lasting relief.
