First seen Jan 09, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 18 times
Summary
This early study tests a new dye called MB-102 for taking pictures of the blood vessels in the back of the eye. The goal is to see if it is safe and provides good images compared to the standard dye used today. About 10 adults with healthy eyes or conditions like diabetic retinopathy or macular degeneration will take part. The results will help decide if this dye could be a better option for diagnosing eye diseases.
