Summary

This pilot study tests whether a mobile app called Maya is practical and liked by pregnant and postpartum individuals who are struggling with mood, anxiety, or stress. What this could mean

Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.

Active substance

Maya Perinatal Cognitive Behavioral Skills App (behavioral intervention)

What this could lead to

If the app is found to be feasible and acceptable, it could offer a convenient, low-cost tool to help new and expecting parents manage mood and anxiety symptoms.

What could go wrong

This is a small pilot study (75 people) focused on whether people will use the app, not on proving it works. The app may not reduce symptoms more than usual care, and results may not apply to everyone.
