Summary

The goal is to create science-based guidelines for hospital visits that support recovery and bonding.

What this could mean

Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.

What this could lead to

If successful, this could lead to evidence-based recommendations for maternity ward visiting policies that improve mothers' mental health and newborn outcomes.

What could go wrong

This is an observational study, not a treatment trial, so it won't directly test a new therapy. Results may vary across hospitals and may not apply everywhere.
