First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 27 times

Summary

This study explores how a mother's stress may change the makeup of her breastmilk and how that affects preterm babies' brain development and feeding. Researchers will follow 120 preterm infants and their mothers from the NICU to 4 months after birth. The goal is to understand these connections, not to test a treatment.
