Could treating Mom's depression be key to controlling her Child's asthma?
NCT ID NCT06623981
Summary
This study is testing whether providing a short, focused talk therapy to mothers experiencing depression can improve their mental health and, in turn, help them better manage their child's asthma. The research will involve about 60 Black mothers of children with asthma who report depressive symptoms. Mothers will either receive the new therapy sessions or standard support to see which approach works better for improving both the mother's well-being and the child's asthma control.
