Nerve block may boost mastectomy recovery, study says

Summary
This study looks at how well women recover after mastectomy surgery. Some women receive a PECS nerve block with a long-lasting painkiller, while others do not. Researchers want to see if the block leads to better pain control and recovery quality 72 hours after surgery. About 800 women will take part.
