Gentle chest rub may speed recovery after lung surgery

NCT ID NCT07549555

First seen May 14, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study tests a simple, drug-free technique: a therapist gently vibrates the chest wall of patients who have a chest tube after thoracic surgery. The goal is to see if this helps clear mucus, improve breathing, and shorten the time the chest tube needs to stay in. About 60 adults who are stable after surgery will take part.
